The core of my activity
I see as my core activity to assist individuals, teams and organisations in reaching their respective goals. I believe that this is best approached by allowing and encouraging a maximum of freedom and own responsibility. Furthermore, it requires a high degree of awareness of what these goals are and of the opportunities and resources available.
The challenge
Today’s challenge for personnel in a leadership position is to be able to identify existing opportunities, create new ones and to make definitive decisions in a rapidly changing marketplace. The ability to recognise opportunities and to make decisions on an ad-hoc basis is essential.
Process of Change
In my work with processes of change within organisations this means: any restructuring is consistently approached from the outside in – market needs influence product and process – and in harmony with the organisation’s culture and values.
Working with teams
In my work with teams it means that the relationship between teams and the organisation as a whole, as well as the interaction within a given team, must make sense to those involved. Essential ingredients for this are a clear brief, awareness of strengths and weaknesses, appropriate leadership, well-defined roles within the team and straightforward procedures.
Working with Individuals
In my work with individual business executives and staff it means creating awareness of personal objectives, needs and abilities; clarifying and creating opportunities in the given environment or in any other potential environment; facilitating decision-making, the implementation of decisions and feedback loops; enabling smooth interaction of the individual with their respective environment: their colleagues, customers and family members.
